What I learnt in PS...

I came to this company for training(what we call PS-Practice School) in coding....a one and a half month program compulsory for my B.E. degree, but the added lessons that I learnt here were far more valuable....

Wheel-chairs, crutches, hearing aids are a common sight there.......reason- they prefer handicapped candidates. Don’t worry, I am not going to dive into another essay justifying or opposing reservations......we all have had enough of that debate, atleast for now......

This blog of mine, which is a first for the record, is an attempt to describe the inexplicable feeling you get on seeing these people.......no, its not the usual sympathy you feel whenever you see someone on crutches....Its different......when you see the guy on the wheel-chair carefully manoeuvring his way through the sea of office-chairs with a smile....or ladies on crutches chit-chatting happily.....then, there’s a person who types with his monitor switched off all the time...probably he can’t see......or the catering manager who asks with a signal of his hand whether we have had our lunch.....

Every morning, I see them march into the office complex... with their faces beaming with confidence, ready to take on the world......and return in the evening with the smile of satisfaction.......On my bus journey back to home, I stand pondering.....about people with crazy bosses or low grades complain everyday how miserable their lives are......thinking who’s life is really miserable......wondering who deserves sympathy and pity...

Finally I find my answers in a popular quote-

“Being happy doesn’t mean everything’s perfect. It means you have decided to see beyond the imperfections.......”
